Events:
25th Annual Wine Festival

Yes, it's time for the Paso Robles Wine Festival.
The Paso Robles Wine Festival, May 18-20,  is the perfect opportunity to experience the distinct, different wines of Paso Robles, ask questions and converse with winemakers in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.  The biggest wine event for Paso Robles and now considered the largest outdoor tasting event of it's kind in California.  It's the perfect time to taste the fine wine from over 90 wineries.
Held in the Paso Robles City Park it is a great opportunity to experience what Paso is and why many refer to it as "Darn Near Paradise".

You're going to see more wineries popping up:

Heart Hill.  Heart Hill is an icon along Hwy 46 West where a grove of Oak trees form an almost perfectly shaped heart.  Niner Winery has received approval from the The San Luis Obispo County Planning Commission for a Conditional Use Permit.  This will allow them to proceed with their planned 70,000 sqft production winery, 19,000 sqft Boutique winery, and 11,000 Tasting Room and Hospitality center.  The production winery will be located on Anderson Road nearby.  This will be one of the winery showplaces for Paso when constructed. It's planned design utilizes gravity flow design techniques similar to Opus One.

Ed Sellers Tasting Room and Winery. Ed Sellers has gained County Planning Commission Conditional Use permit approval for the construction of a 18,000 winery and 2100 Tasting room on the South side of Hwy 46, across from Summerwood.  Phase 2 will include winery expansion and construction of a Bed and Breakfast.

Union Road.  The Eastside continues to develop as well. A 14,000 sqft winery and 4050 sqft tasting room has been approved on Union Road just East of Penman Spring Rd.

Paso Style Living Real Estate: (Real Estate market conditions in Paso Wine Country)
Realism!  Not Pessimism,  Not Optimism.  The local market needs a good dose of realism.
Sellers,  the market is off a little from peak prices 12 months ago.  You cannot sell today for what most thought they could 12 months ago.  Homes that are priced competitively are selling.  That may be less than what is was 12 months ago.
Buyers,  It should be considered a good deal if you can purchase a home for 10% less than it may have sold for 12 months ago.  If your waiting for prices to drop 40 to 50% , It ain't going to happen!  If you've been watching those infomercials on late night TV and think you can get rich buying properties for pennies on the dollar, get a life.  Deals are made by your ability to foresee potential value.  Paso has some of the highest potential value in the country now!
