Harvest weekend in Paso Robles wine country is probably one of the more enjoyable times. There's no major anchor event, but a time for all wineries to celebrate harvest in their own way. Real Estate Up, Down, and Around:Between the National, State and local Real Estate news, it's difficult to get an accurate handle on what's going on, but I still definitely believe we are in the beginnings of a recovery. Nationally, it's been reported that sales volumes are down, but I feel that's a reflection of sale prices stabilizing and in some cases rising. The Real Estate market is improving. The California Median Home Price of $292,960 is up slightly from last month. Locally, the numbers vary by community with some up and some down. This is to be expected as the market tries to get it's footing.Also, a critical component to the overall market is pricing segment. Mid priced and lower homes generally are selling quickly and earning the prices asked (that price obviously varies by area). Upper mid and higher priced homes are moving slower. The number of buyers who don't have to sell an existing home is limited. If your home is priced correctly against the competition and if you are less than the Average Prices below you should sell quickly. If your home is above the Average you can expect to have to wait longer for the right buyer. Given the dismal rates CDs are paying today, I'm starting to see people shift funds from CD to Real Estate. If you want a truly professional Real Estate Consultation, give me a call.

Chili is one of my favorite dishes. Styles vary
across the country, but one chili style which
isn't seen often is White Chili. If you are
looking for a dish out of the ordinary, but it a try.
Combine all ingredients and simmer for 1 hours. Serve Passila as a contrasting garnish. Be extremely careful with the Habernos. I suggest rubber gloves. They are HOT. |
